Description

A bunch of mini book pendants I made, now for sale in my Etsy store (links below).
These are about 2cm high with slight variations in dimensions. Each has a single Swarovski crystal set in the front.

I originally made one as a charm for my friend's book blog giveaway but I liked the look of it as a pendant too so I decided to add them to my store.

The Tumblr giveaway has ended! Congratulations to the winner and thank you all for participating!

The designs on these pendants are completely unplanned and random, but the idea and style come from way back when I was looking at peacock feathers for inspiration. Chinese phoenixes also have peacock like tail feathers and I have drawn a few of those too for boxes and tote bag designs. I keep thinking the black one looks more like a swan though.

On introspection, the combination of a book + peacock feather may come from when I was taking Arts (mostly English Literature) electives at university. There are resident peacocks in that department (hey look they have their own website now www.uwapeacocks.net/). Those were some of the best units I took at uni. I didn't even tell most of my lecturers I wasn't an Arts student because I really wished I was.
